Strawberries & Cream Delight

Amazing start to any day or perfect dessert after dinner, either way you can’t go wrong with this flaky strawberries and cream puff pastry.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pkg. puff pastry sheets
  • 8 strawberries (washed and greens removed)
  • 8 oz. Cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla

Directions:

  • Layout 1 pastry sheet onto a cutting board
  • cut 4 of your strawberries into quarters and set them aside
  • Remove the tips of the other 4 strawberries and set those aside. These are going to be your center caps so make them as big as you would like.
  • In a small mixing bowl cream sugar, vanilla, cream cheese and the leftover strawberries (optional) together until creamy and Set aside.
  • Cut your pastry sheet into 4 equal squares.
  • Take one square and cut along the top and bottom leaving 1/8” from the edge. For the sides you will start at the corner and cut the same 1/8” from the edge but only going 1/4 of the way down. Do this to each corner. (see video)
  • Spread a thick layer of the cream cheese mixture to the Center Square and fold the outside corners of the pastry to the center.
  • Place the quartered strawberries in each corner with the tips pointing to the center.
  • Drop a dollop of cream cheese mixture to the center and top with a strawberry tip (cap).
  • Place on a cookie sheet and bake at 400 degrees for 10-15 min.
  • Serve.
